About

Polaris Barista, writer

A writer who builds feeling out of sentences, and the lyricist behind eight albums. Here is a little more of that story.

“Reading you under the starlight is the reason I write”

Where it began

Polaris, the star that holds the north. Barista, someone who brews one careful cup at a time. Placing the two words side by side is a way of promising to keep direction without losing care for the daily, ordinary work. The writing gathered that way, a little each day. Two books found their place on Amazon, and those sentences became lyrics across eight albums. Korean editions will meet their readers soon.

Voice

Emotion spoken through images from nature: rain, wind, stars, the sea, a seagull, a raindrop held on a taro leaf. Showing rather than explaining. The sentences stay short and the white space stays wide — so that readers have room to lay their own memories on top.

Lyrics

A lyric is heard before it is read, so sound matters as much as meaning. Where the vowels open, where the breath falls, which phrase can be repeated without tiring. Jazz asks for space; folk asks for warmth.
